Automatic Metal Analysis Controller ensures
every heat conforms to specifications

Providing our customers with the high quality injection systems and cored wire feeders they need to be world class competitors - that's the challenge, and the accomplishment, of the Equipment Division of Hickman, Williams & Company. This group develops, manufactures and services injection systems such as the Post Inoculant Feeder (PIF) and the Inoculator cored wire feeding units that are now standards for precise and automatic metal control. For foundries, steel mills and nonferrous operations, systems are available that let you completely control each lot's chemistry and analysis to conform to specifications, while minimizing slag, reducing material waste and cost, and maximizing quality. Recent advancements such as the Automatic Metal Analysis Controller (AMAC) include computer controlled systems that virtually error-proof the injection process. Linked to a metal analyzer, these next-generation systems use the analysis results to continuously monitor and correct injection supplements to achieve output that matches target specifications. For ferrous and nonferrous applications, the computerized system calculates proper weight amounts, even for multiple additives, and provides quality verification and report documentation. Hickman, Williams Equipment Division - complementing metals and alloying additives quality with the injection systems that take every heat and every pour to the ultimate level of precision.
