THE MISSION of the employee-owners of Hickman, Williams & Company is to be a dependable source of high quality products and services for our customers, principals and employees. We will strive to continuously improve these products and services with total customer satisfaction as our goal.

THE VISION of Hickman, Williams & Company is to be the premier supplier of products, services and technology to the global metals industry.

A lot can change in a hundred years. A lot has changed since Richard B. Hickman opened an office in Louisville, Kentucky back in 1890 to sell pig iron to the burgeoning metals industry of northern Kentucky and southern Indiana. His modest office consisted of "two desks, two bicycles and a typewriter." In 1891 he was joined by Harry L. Williams, a metals industry veteran.
Our founders... They still didn't have much of an office, but they had some things that were far more valuable: knowledge, quality, service and integrity. The market recognized and rewarded these qualities in the young company, which grew in size and reputation, and in the breadth of the product line it was able to offer to the metals industry.
Today Hickman, Williams & Company services metals producers and other related industries with an array of products, including foundry coke, ferroalloys, briquetted alloys, specialty metals and alloys, carbon additives, abrasives, pig iron, fused silica, metal filters, coal and coke products, injection and cored wire systems and many other related materials. It's a vibrant employee-owned company that is looking forward to the changes and challenges of the 21st century. One thing, however, hasn't changed - the Hickman, Williams legacy of knowledge, quality, service and integrity.
